A Quick Recap: Spring 2024 Events

The 51st Anniversary of the APPA and APPA Auxiliary was held on September 14 to 17, 2023 at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Cleveland Rockside in Independence, Ohio. The event turned out smoothly and successfully.

Medical Mission in the Philippines: The APPA and APPA Auxiliary collaborated with Dr. Jim Sanchez , founder of “Hospital on Wheels” and together held the missioin on March 2 to 3, 2024 at Barangay Holy Spirit and Barangay Payatas in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines.

They say that “a picture is worth a thousand words”. This newsletter is filled with pictures. Pictures that are therefore worth thousands and thousands of words. Pictures that will apprise readers of what is going on with the APPA. Pictures that will speak for themselves, for you to draw your own conclusions.

Reading materials namely books, newspapers, magazines, and the like seem to be in danger of becoming extinct. So does newsletters such as ours. The current trend is to disseminate news, information, etc. through social media.

However, having been designated to make reports, I felt duty- bound to do it via our traditional route, the newsletter. In an effort to get members to be more involved and/or interested, attempts have been made to ask them to write or report on something important, or informative, or interesting. Futile attempts. No response! Why? Apathy? Dissociation from APPA? Busy life? Who knows?

Thanks to the loyal, dedicated, and generous members, we keep going.
